Welcome to Pace Music Institute of Nassau
Our goal is to make peace and harmony through making music with friends and colleagues. We provide many different ensembles of instruments and voice. We also have recently been designated to issue the President's Volunteer Service Award to an individual or group who are US citizens and lawfully admitted, permanent residents of the United States that have demonstrated outstanding volunteer service and civic participation over the course of a 12-month period.
Director Dr. Haeeun Kim
A native of South Korea, Haeeun Kim began piano studies at the age of four and attended the Seoul Music and Art High School. She continued her secondary education in Washington State and received her Bachelor of Music from University of Washington, where she was the recipient of the Posca and Brechemen Scholarships. Dr. Kim received her Master of Music degree from Manhattan School of Music and her Doctor of Musical Arts degree from Graduate Center City University of New York.
The winner of numerous competitions in Korea, Dr. Kim was also First Prize winner of the Northwest Young Artist Festival and Seattle Young Artists Competition. She was awarded Senior Chamber Music Live Award and The Discimus ut Serviamus Music Award from Queens College. In 2001 she made her Carnegie Hall Weil Recital Hall debut as the winner of the Artists International Young Artists Piano Award. As a solo and chamber music artist, Dr. Kim’s recent appearances include performances in Seattle, South Carolina, New York, and Moscow, Russia as well as in Korea. She founded Pace Music Institute of Nassau in 2015.
